L’Home du monde is both a « Gîtes de France » Bnb with 4 rooms (2 are 4* and 2 are 3*) and a holiday cottage (3*). The bnb is 10 minutes away from Caen and Bayeux. The cottage is 500m from the sea, nested around Gatteville’s beacon and the lovely village of Barfleur.
Since October 2014, the bnb is also part of the label “Maison de caractère” and since December 2014 it is part of “Charme et traditions”.
D-day beaches are only 30 minutes away (Omaha Beach for the bnb and Utah beach for the cottage). Main roads are close by so it is very easy to travel around, especially to visit the historical routes of WW2, to follow the adventure of William the Conqueror or to discover the Norman countryside with its cuisine and regional specials. The Mont St Michel is 1h30 away from the bnb.
Finally, the sea and all seaside activities are less than 30 minutes away from the bnb and in the immediate neighbourhood of the cottage. So…. Let yourselves be tempted by the charm of Normandy, a beautiful region offering a wide range of activities.
